2016 / 2017 programme
The Regeneration exhibition delved into the world of ecosystem restoration. The planet and our immediate environment has been damaged to such extent over the last century that the Restoration Industry has been forced to make its appearance.
What tools can be used to restore our ecosystems? Making our environment livable again, without falling into destructive repetition, is key. The question remains, how then should we deal with problems such as extreme drought, humidity, desertification, erosion, land depletion, overfishing, pollution and (litter) waste?
Regeneration opened on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at the Transnatural gallery and was also on view at Dutch Design Week at the Veemgebouw at Strijp-S from Oct. 22 - 30. The participating designers, artists and organizations presented a world where infinitely sustainable, circular systems dictate.
