Transnatural will present the latest collection of art and design at Spoor K during the Dutch Design Week, in the centre of city of Eindhoven. New work by Alfhild Külper, Rollo Bryant and Natasja Alers will be part of the show. Existing collection work, but newly to be introduced in Holland, is presented by Merel Karhof,Lex Pott & David Derksen, Studio ThusThat and Tijs Gilde.
Come join us from 21 - 30 October and visit our parallel exhibition Radical City inc. which runs in studio #3 at Spoor K, Fuutlaan 14K, Eindhoven.
The Radical City inc. exhibition explores an alternative, nature inclusive and climate proof city. An evolving exhibition is the basis for radical ideas for the city of the future with Amsterdam used as a platform. Designers, artists and architects question former ideas about urban life and look for new ways to empower the connection between people, nature and architecture in the urban landscape.
Despite the major ecological challenges of our time, such as drought, salinization, subsidence, rising sea levels, energy, light and air pollution, political policies and urban development are running behind the very rapidly changing conditions.
In Radical City inc. we look for a balance and connection between all life in the city. This symbiosis between humans, flora and fauna outlines a different and optimistic perspective for the near and distant future.
The first exhibition presents conceptual works and prototypes, some of which will actually be realized and placed in public spaces in the next stage of the program. Thus, the city of Amsterdam is not only deployed a utopian platform for the future: We are going to implement it and the public can participate.

The new Eclipse models of Transience mirrors show the beauty of the natural oxidizing process inherent in mirrors. By accelerating and manipulating this process, the Eclipse models illustrate the various stages of oxidation through a gradient of brown – gold – silver tones.
Depending on the time that the silver is treated, different colour tones can be achieved.

Transnatural opens its new exhibition space, featuring The Unknown Mine Zone exhibition and the launch of the new label collection, situated in the vibrant Amsterdam West quarter. The Unknown Mine Zone offers a collection of Amsterdam-based as well as traveling exhibitions and activities, with the exhibition at the new Transnatural gallery marking the official opening on October 16th 2020.
The exhibition features artists, designers, architects and researchers all with a different take on our future material shortage and all committed to involve the public in their continued experiments. With the stock of various raw materials rapidly diminishing, The Unknown Mine Zone exhibition series explores new and innovative alternatives regarding mining and the use of (other) material resources.
New art & design collection
The new art & design collection was launched in Paris last September. Transnatural was part of the digital edition of the Paris Design Week 2020. The virtual event showcased Transnatural’s new collection from afar. However, on October 16th it is time for Transnatural to open its doors and launch the new collection physically from its new prime location in Holland.
2019 has been a mesmerizing year for Transnatural Label, we'd like to thank our clients for all support. Four new artists enforced the collection with inspiring designs. It was a treat to meet so many new partners in the hospitality and architectural fields. No doubt, this decade will be as fertile and the last.
