Airfoil Project

Inspired by windmills sawing wood, Merel Karhof creates trails of blue oxidation across oak wood surfaces. The Airfoil table shows deep, blue gradients as the result of controlled oxidation on wood, a sophisticated, sustainable printing process.

The legs, shaped as modern windmill wings, hold the top in the air. The Airfoil table is completed with a bio hard wax finish. The technique allows to custom design and print large, oak surfaces and objects. For any requests please contact us.
